Happy Friday! Today I'm sharing the other half of Bees Knees Lacquer's Fever Collection. This collection was inspired
by the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning. This month's release is
different because they have broken this collection
into 2 parts, Fever Creatures which are Unicorn Pee finishes, and Fever
Quotes which are Shimmer finishes. In that spirit, I have broken my post
up into two as well. I've already shared my swatches of the Fever Creatures polishes so today I'm sharing the Fever Quotes which are seven beautiful shimmer polishes all of which are great for spring. I also have the new customer appreciation polish which will go on sale in tandem with the Fever Collection. UPDATE: Hope Strengthens, Fear Kills will no longer be releasing this month due to defective pigments so, I have removed the swatches from this post.
The One Who Will Never Let You Die
The formula was perfect, it applied well, and there was no running pooling or staining. Shown in 3 coats. This was still a bit sheer after 3 coats. You might be able to get away with it if your nails are a little shorter than mine or you don't mind a little nail line. Otherwise, you may want to wear this over something or try using it as a topper. I think that would look super cute.
I'll See You In The Slipstream
Described as a pale blurple with aqua to pink shimmer ($12).
The
formula was perfect, it applied well, and there was no running pooling
or staining. Shown in 3 coats. This was still a tiny bit sheer after 3 coats but completely wearable and I could only tell it wasn't opaque under my swatching lights, you can't even tell in the pictures. So opacity shouldn't be an issue.
One Day I'm Going To Hold A Lot Of Joy
Described as a soft lilac with glowy pink to gold to green shimmer ($12).
The formula was perfect, it applied well, and there was no running pooling or staining. This was completely opaque in two coats.
Ice To My Fever
Described as a nude gray toned pink with glowing aqua to purple shimmer ($12).
This was my surprise favorite. I used to hate pink but lately I've been attracted to light pinks like this. Maybe I like pink now... Anyway, the formula was perfect, it applied well, and there was no running pooling or staining. Shown in 3 coats. This was still a bit sheer after 3 coats. I enjoyed wearing it alone despite the sheerness but this could look great over a similar creme color if nail line is a problem for you.
Rainbow Girl
Described as orchid with bright gold to green to blue shimmer ($12).
The
formula was perfect, it applied well, and there was no running pooling
or staining. This was completely opaque in two coats.
Nothing Else Matters
Described as a baby pink with soft gold to green shimmer ($12).
The formula was perfect, it applied well, and there was no running pooling or staining. This was completely opaque in two coats. The shimmer in this one tends to stick to the skin so be careful when applying this one, you might have problems getting it completely cleaned up if you flood your cuticles. That's only really a problem if you, like me, take pictures right after you paint your nails. Any shimmer particles stuck to your skin will come off after you wash your hands a couple times.
Customer Appreciation 2021
Described as a black to green to purple multichrome ($12).
My swatches don't do this one justice, it's very shifty and vampy. The formula was perfect, it applied well, and there was no running pooling or staining. It need three coats to reach full opacity which is normal for a multichrome.
These beauties will be on sale Friday March 26th @ noon. Each polish will be $12 on release and there is no cap for any of the shimmers. There will also be a new monthly mystery sticker and polish duo for $15. Last but not least, there will be a sitewide sale of 15% off!
